05:30am, Saturday: The National Weather Service says the Center of Amos is now atop of American Samoa.
When Amos moves further down south winds are expected to pick up again like earlier this morning.
Residents are urged to stay in doors until the all clear is given that Amos swept ell away from American Samoa .
In Iliili just around 4:00 am, the wind was howling and tree branches were swaying back and forth. A huge branch fell to the side of this writer’s bedroom, luckily it didnt hit the roof.
Earlier the sounds of hammering were heard in my neighborhood.
Now there’s just quite, the only sounds are titter tattr of raindrops. Dogs are not even barking, but a rooster just crowed.
