Social media exploded here in American Samoa with reports in various villages of an earthquake yesterday evening around 6pm…a 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck 125 miles to the south west of the Samoan Islands.
Many residents said the quake was longer than normal and caused alarm.
However, scientists at the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center assured us that it didn’t cause any Tsunami threats.
Yesterday’s tremor was recorded at a depth of 29 kilometers or 18 miles
