A man who was recently released from the Territorial Correctional Facility, was nabbed by a homeowner in Tafuna when he forced entry at a home at around 5am this past Saturday.
According to family members, the burglar entered through a bathroom window and went into a bedroom where a woman and her two year old son were sleeping.
But he was stopped in his tracks by the homeowner and a nephew who were able to detain him.
Police were called and he was promptly hauled to the Territorial Correctional Facility.
The family whose home was broken into have learned from police that the perpetrator is believed to be linked to a gang in Petesa that’s suspected in many of the breaking and entering incidents in the Tafuna/Nuuuli area.
The homeowner has supplied a photograph of the suspect so that people will be aware of him, in case he makes it out of jail while his case is being prosecuted.
