And history is being written…a territorial high school football team has taken the field at Aloha Stadium going against an All Star team from Northern California in the JPS Hawaii Classic 2016.
For our young men, it’s the first time that they have played on a proper football field, wearing certified helmets and gear.
Being in the stadium locker rooms has also been an out of this world experience for them.
Thanks to Hawaiian Air, V103 listeners on the radio and over the internet are able to catch the action as it happens, with our Samoa Sunrise crew and football commentators, John, Sia LJ and our General Manager Joey Cummings, calling the game.
Before the match started, John Raynar was in the Team Amerika Samoa locker room and spoke with one of our coaches, Loso about their game plan.
