There’s been a generous outpouring of support from the business community and civic organizations to the territory’s only facility to take care of the elderly and children with severe disabilities, Hope House.
Yesterday Matson Shipping presented a check of $2,000 to Bishop Peter Brown and members of the Hope House Board to help with the costs of operating the home.
The donation comes as Hope House prepares for its major fundraiser of the year, a golf tournament and raffle this weekend.
Another benefactor, National Pacific Insurance, not only donated a $1000 check but Manager Agnes Polu and staff spent two Saturdays cleaning up the home’s vegetable gardens.
