ASG employees were out in force today with weedeaters, rakes, trash bags and other cleaning tools getting rid of trash and cleaning up roadsides and beaches from the airport to the StarKist Samoa cannery.

That is the route that Secretary of Interior Ryan Zinke and his entourage will take this Thursday.

The roadside cleaners, combined with the start of the new school year for public schools made for busy traffic on the highway especially in the morning.

Meanwhile at Suiga ula ole Atuvasa ASPA and ASTCA vcrews have been installing power and phone lines.

Secretary Zinke and his delegation are returning to Washington D.C. after the Pacific Islands Forum meeting in Nauru and visits to Papua Niu Guinea, CNMI and Guam.  They  are arriving 7:15 Thursday morning and will be here until 12:40 that afternoon.

Budget hearings which were to be continued today have been postponed until next Monday as directors are occupied with preparations for the visit.
