Hawaiian Air boss assures leaders of airline’s commitment

The President and CEO of Hawaiian Airlines, Mr Peter Ingram, has assured local leaders of Hawaiian’s commitment to be a good corporate citizen.

Here on his first visit since taking the helm of the airline earlier this year, Mr. Ingram attended the blessing of Hawaiian’s bigger and improved cargo facility at the airport.

He also met with Governor Lolo this morning.

The governor’s executive assistant Iulogologo Joseph Pereira said before the meeting that discussions would include airfares, frequency of flights, collaboration on building the territory’s tourism industry and other economic development related projects.

Mr Ingram said he gave this assurance to the governor.

The Hawaiian Air President and CEO said it was important for Hawaiian Air staff here to get the facilities needed to do their work and to that end the old HA cargo warehouse and office were given a major refurbishment.
