Managing Director of ASPA resigns

^{The Managing Director of the American Samoa Power Authority Paul Young submitted his resignation yesterday.}

^{Managers of ASPA were notified of the resignation in an email this morning  from the Executive Director of ASPA Utu Abe Malae, who has been off island for medical reasons for the past month.}  

^{Utu has not responded to our questions about Young’s resignation.} 

 ^{Young would only confirm that it’s true he has resigned.}

^{Senior ASPA personnel say Wallon Young is now Acting Director of ASPA until further announcement from Utu or the board.}

^{KHJ News understands that the ASPA Board is meeting Thursday to discuss Young’s resignation.}
