With schools breaking up for the long summer vacation how to keep the children occupied is a worry of parents.
The Aoelua Family is offiering a smmer reading programfrom July 19 to August 17th.
One of the organizers Salote Aoelua said, “We are a family trying to make a difference in the community and Fagaitua High School.
Principal Suaese Pooch Taase has agreed to support our efforts
to improve literacy.
Tomorrow at Fagaitua High School from 9am to 12 noon, the Aoelua family and the schools will be holding a promotional event for the upcoming summer reading program.
There will be 20 Reading Room sponsors at the school tomorrow and they include family members, department directors, military retirees and members of various organizations.
First Lady Cynthia Moliga is among the reading room sponsors.
After the reading activities tomorrow the readers will donate books for the Aoelua Familuy Summer Reading Program.
The event is from 9am to noon and is open to the public.
There will also be treats for participants.
