Samoans star in “Hibiscus and Ruthless”

“Hibiscus and Ruthless” the movie, tells the story of two childhoold friends growing up in a Samoan family in Auckland, New Zealand.

One is Samoan and the other is palagi.

The movie, by the same group who released, “Three Wise Cousins,” has an all Samoan cast except for Ruthless, the palagi.

She and Hibiscus strike up a friendship and Ruthless ends up spending a lot of time with Hibiscus’ family, where she learns some Samoan  and Samoan ways.

Thierry Martel who plays one of the young men who catches Hibiscus’ eye, talks about the plot on the Samoa Sunrise Show.

The movie premieres tonight at Regal Nuuuli Cinemas, where members of the cast and producer/writer/director Stallone Vaiaoga-Iosia will be available for photos and autographs.
