Poetry Slam to highlight sexual violence & assault

The Alliance for Strengthening Families is always trying out new and creative ways to draw attention to the scourge of sexual violence and assault and get people talking about it.

As part of a host of activities for Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the Alliance has scheduled a Poetry Slam for next week.

The organizers are encouraging writers to say whatever’s on their mind regarding the subject of sexual assault.

Doris Tilafau, founder of Brown Girl Woke is helping the Alliance with the Poetry Slam.
