The Congregational Christian Church of American Samoa Bay Area Youth had special guest speakers at a gathering last night.
Funny man Tofiga Fepuleai and his comedian colleague Maria Goretti Louis Pani Wickman talked about peer pressure, standing up for what they know is right and being a better generation than the last.
The pair, who are here for a Special Olympics Amerika Samoa fundraising dinner and telethon tomorrow talked about their experiences with family members going through rough times, growing up as Samoans in New Zealand as well as being in the entertainment business.
Pani encouraged the young people to be more open and to stop caring what other people think about them.
She said, “Challenge yourself and become something you never thought you can be.”
