SOFIAS donate $10,000 to Hope House

As they have done for the past several years, the Sosaiete o Faafafine i Amerika Samoa or SOFIAS made a generouse donation to Hope House today.

The association handed a check of $10,000 to the Manager of Hope House Beatrice Block.

The money was raised in a raffle two weeks ago.

With president Ipi ieli and members looking on, the reigning Miss SOFIAS, Eden Brown, presented the check while remarks were given by SOFIAS Patron Congresswoman Aumua Amata Radewagen.

The Hope House Manager Beatrice Block received the donation on behalf of Bishop Peter Brown, residents and staff of Hope House.

SOFIAS is also donating $2,000 to Red Cross, American Samoa.

President Ieli thanks the community for their support of SOFIA activities.

One of their major events is the Miss SOFIA Pageant on Saturday night at the Lee Auditorium.

Corporate tables are $700 and tickets are $25 per person.
