Founder of Pacific Air Cargo passes away

Pacific Air Cargo, which operates the weekly cargo flight to American Samoa has lost its founder, Ms. Beti  Sue Ward.

Ms Ward who has been described as a visionary, pioneer and philanthropist, died last Friday evening.

The CEO and President of Pacific Air, Cargo Tanja Janfreuchte and Thomas Ingram, Chief Operating Officer said in a joint statement, “We will miss her dearly but will take solace that she was surrounded by her family and in the company of her closest friends. “

According to an article in Pacific Business News, Ward owned several businesses — a beauty salon, bar and air-cargo companies.

Pacific Air Cargo was  voted a few times as Pacific Business News  top women-owned business, based on revenue.

The company ships cargo between Hawaii and Los Angeles using Hawaii as a hub from Asia and the mainland U.S.

The Pacific Air Cargo team send their sincerest condolences to Ms. Ward’s family and “will forever hold her in our hearts, proudly continuing her vision, values and commitment to the PAC family.”
