One person has been arrested after a search by Samoa police found stolen pharmaceutical items from a home near the town area.

Samoa Police Service said commercial size quantities of controlled pills were found and seized.

These pharmaceutical items are suspected for use in the manufacture of the illegal drug methamphetamine or “ice.”

SPS says it’s likely there will be more arrests as their investigations continue.

The police thanked Customs and the Ministry of Health for the collaborative partnership efforts in the search for the stolen items.
