The American Samoa National Olympic Committee is organizing a Sports Awards Gala evening tentatively set for January 27th at Lee Auditorium.
The event is to honor outstanding sports men and women, teams, administrators, sponsors and anyone who had contributed to the development and promotion of sports in the territory.
ASNOC is also planning a Sports Hall of Fame induction.
General Secretary of ASNOC Ethan Lake says sports has done alot for the territory and its important to recognize those who have excelled in the various sports for 2017 as well as coaches and other administrators and supporters.
There will be 12 categories and the deadline for nominations is this Friday.
