A son of American Samoa in the US Navy has received the Sailor of the Year award service on board the USS San Diego.
He is U.S. Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Andrew Sagapolutele, a ship’s serviceman,.
A Fa’aso and Marist High School graduate , Andrew is from the village of Iliili where his father and mother Abraham and Tiana Sagapolu both reside.
USS San Diego is currently deployed to the U.S. 6th Fleet Area of Operations/Mediterranean Sea.
