In his Thanksgiving Day message, Governor Lolo Moliga says, “We have so much to be thankful for this year in spite the challenges we are facing in our efforts to improve the lives of all our people.

“While we tend to look at the material things to equate our blessings, we should cherish the choicest of blessings found in our families and their love, our friends, our neighbors, and all those who have improved the quality of our individual lives by their good deeds.

“Let us remember on this Thanksgiving our parents who have been our silent heroes for teaching us how to be a better person; our TOA of Samoa who continue to dedicate their lives protecting our freedoms and our cherished way of life; our teachers who have been given the toughest job of molding and shaping our future generation’s intelligence and character; our healthcare providers for maintaining the health of our people; our first responders for their vigilance and preparedness to protect our people in times of disasters or accidents, and the farmers and the fishermen for continuing to provide sustenance.

“On behalf of Lieutenant Governor Lemanu Peleti Mauga and his family, along with Cynthia Malala Moliga and our family, I extend to all the people of American Samoa our thanksgiving wishes that is overflowing with peace, love, and joy.”
