One Thousand Ropes showing here October 26, 27

American Samoa will get the chance to watch One Thousand Ropes, the latest feature film by award winning Samoan writer/director Tusi Tamasese.

KHJ listeners heard the announcement this morning by Uelese Petaia who plays the lead role of Maea in the Samoan language film.

He told John Raynar that the film will be showing October 26 & 27 at the Fatu-o-Aiga Hall at Tafuna.

The first showing is a benefit for the Office of Catholic Social Services.

Petaia spoke about some of the Samoan talent showcased in One Thousand Ropes.

Another young Samoan actor in One Thousand Ropes, is Beulah Koale, whose career is taking off in the United States.
