The American Samoa Department of Homeland Security informs the public, especially residents of Manu’a, that there is a project currently undergoing by the American Samoa Department of Ports Administration – Airport Division, gathering aerial data for their Airport Geospatial Information System.
A Cessna 404 airplane with identification number VH-VEA located on its tail wing is conducting the aerial survey.
The public is advised not to be alarmed if they see the aircraft , as this project may require the airplane to circle around or fly lower than usual.
The American Samoa Department of Homeland Security will issue further statements if necessary.
