Aua village is the site of a centennial celebration this week.
It’s the 100 years of coral reef surveys in American Samoa.
Two off island scientists who have become experts on local coral, Dr Birkeland And Dr. Green, will be featured speakers at presentations in schools, at Aua village and at a marine science symposium this week.
The main celebration takes place tomorrow at the Maafala guest house in Aua just before Onesosopo Park.
There will be several water activities for school children as Alice Lawrence, Marine Biologist at the Department of Marine and Wildlife Resources explains.
