VP Mike President set to land 4pm, Sunday

Security is expected to be tight at Pago Pago International Airport when Vice President Mike Pence arrives Sunday afternoon .

The estimated time of arrival for Air Force 2 is 4pm.

Its planned that the vice president will get off the aircraft during the 1 ½ hour refueling stop.

Governor Lolo Moliga , Fono leaders, the Chief Justice, Congresswoman Aumua Amata, Lt. Governor Lemanu and Secretary of Samoan Affairs Mauga Tasi Asuega will greet the VP who is traveling with his wife and daughters.

He is accompanied by secret service agents and the national press.

The only information available about what Mr. Pence will do while here has come from a press statement from Congresswoman Aumua Amata early this week.

Pence will dedicate the VA Outpatient Clinic to the memory of Congressman Faleomavaega Eni Hunkin and review American Samoa Army reservists.

This will be done at the airport.

The vice president is coming to American Samoa  at the end of an Asia Pacific that has taken him to South Korea. Japan, Indonesia and Australia.

The program for the Vice President ‘s visit is handled by the Governor’s  Office.
