“One Thousand Ropes,” tells the story of  Maea a man seeking redemption through forgiveness , trying  to reunite with the best part of his past, his family and moving forward in hope.

His pregnant daughter, falls victim to physical abuse at the hands of her husband.

Maea, played by Tuiasau Uelese Petaia,  is a traditional healer and baker.

The taulasea role is one that Tuiasau identifies with as his grandmother was one. And he watched as she practiced her healing.
