Efforts to find out amounts paid to directors and political appointees in the first term of the Lolo Lemanu administration have hit a rock wall.
ASG officials tell KHJ News since the ASG payroll was transferred from Treasury to the Department of Human Resources, there’s a tight lid on the amounts being paid out to employees,
Information from individual departments indicate that the final payouts were released last month.
And directors have received amounts due them for unused annual and sick leave.
Over the last week, KHJ News has tried to obtain information from Director of Human Resources Eseneiaso Liu however she has not returned messages or taken calls.
$1 million was included in the Fiscal Year 2017 budget to compensate for unused sick and annual leave for directors and political appointees, mainly in the Governor’s Office.
