Territorial delegates who were part of the congressional delegation which visited the territory early this week spelled out that the insular areas are not treated fairly by the federal government.

The four House representatives on  subcommittees of the House Natural Resources Committee who traveled on the CODEL were CNMI Congressman Gregorio Kalili Sablan, Guam’s Congresswoman MadeleIMG_4780ne Bordallo, Congresswoman Jennifer Gonzales from Puerto Rico and American Samoa Congresswoman Aumua Amata.

While discussing medical treatment for veterans Reps. Sablan and Gonzalez said the territories are not treated fairly and getting what is due them.

Democrat Congresswoman Bordallo who is serving her seventh term as Guam’s delegate said the territories face uncertainty under President Donald Trump but by standing together they are making a case for the people of the insular areas.
