The territory will host the US House Natural Resources Committee next month.
The CO-DEL is scheduled to arrive February 20 and 21st.
Governor Lolo Moliga says up to 30 members of Congress will be making the trip.
He told the cabinet Friday this is an important Committee for American Samoa as this is the committee that has jurisdiction over the territories and fisheries, which are vital for the territory’s economy.
The committee will be here around the same time that the Governor and several directors will be in Washington D.C. for the meeting of the White House Inter Agency Group for Insular Areas.
Congresswoman Aumua Amata will be part of the CO-DEL.
