The Fono is heeding the Governor’s request to review director nominees who will be heading to Washington D.C. with him next month.
In the House of Representatives this morning the following confirmations hearings were scheduled.

8:30am, Director of Education, Dr. Ruth Matagi Tofiga -Education Committee, chaired by Rep. Vaetasi Tuumolimoli Moliga;
11:00 am, Treasurer Ueligitone Tonumaipea – Ways and Means Committee, chaired by Rep. Lavea Mauga;
1:00 pm, Attorney General Talauega Eleasalo Ale – Legal Affairs Committee, chaired by Rep Toeaina Faufano Autele;
Wednesday, February 1st
8:30 am, Director of Commerce Keniseli Lafaele – Commerce & Economic Development Committee, chaired by Rep. Samuel Ioka Meleisea;
10:30, Budget Director, Catherine Saelua – Budget & Approproriations Committee, chaired by Rep Vailiuama Steve Leasiolagi;
1:30 pm, Director of Port Administration, Taimalelagi Dr. Claire Poumele – Port Administration & Transportation Committee, chaired by Rep. Kitara Vaiau.
The Senate begins its confirmation hearings on Wednesday.
