Two cabinet appointments were announced today.

Fu’ega Lua Moliga has been appointed as Acting Director of the Department of Administrative Services, pending confirmation of the Legislature.

Fu’ega , who is the brother of Governor Lolo Moliga, is a former House Representative with a background in criminal justice and has held several leadership positions in the Department of Public Safety.

These include being a warden, and commander of the Marine Patrol Division.

Fuega’s appointment is effective January 16.

In the first term of Governor Lolo and Lt. Governor Lemanu Peleti Mauga, the Director of Administrative Services was Malemo Tausaga.

Last week, the Governor picked Malemo to be Deputy Secretary of Samoan Affairs, a move which some deem to be a demotion since the position is not at cabinet level.Aliitama & Paogofie

Sotoa, relocated back to the territory from Southern California when he was picked as TEO Director in the first year of the Lolo Lemanu administration.

He was seen as a potential candidate for Executive Director of the American Samoa Power Authority.

Sotoa returned home after close to 40 years with San Diego Gas & Electric Company.

Sotoa’s appointment is also effective January 16
