The MV Lady Naomi’s two trips to Samoa this week are full as cannery workers both at StarKist Samoa and Samoa Tuna Processors head home for the holidays.
Polynesia shipping, local agents for the Samoa Shipping Corporation vessel say its been overwhelming trying to fit everyone who wants to go on the vessel.
They can only take 220 passengers.
A spokesperson says those who couldn’t make this week’s sailings on Tuesday and Thursday are getting on the December 29th voyage, their last for 2016.
Not only is the passenger manifest full but the cargo hold is going to be extra full as local residents with businesses in Samoa, ship more than their usual quantities to cater for the expatriate Samoans who come home for the holidays.
