He believes education is the key to success and is of the opinion everyone in his district should get equal access to resources to meet their needs.

He said a well educated community, can learn to be resourceful and creative to make use of available resources to better the lot of our children instead of complaining about what the government fails to provide .

The faipule candidate says recreational activities are needed to occupy the young people.

Uta has served with the American Samoa Government for 33 years in the Department of Education.

He has also been Insurance Commissioner, Governor’s Liaison with the Fono and Director of the Office for the Protection and Advocacy of the Diasabled.

He does not want to make promises as two years may not be enough time to achieve what he hopes and intends to provide for his district of Vaifanua which includes the villages of Alao, Onenoa, Tula, Aoa and his village of Vatia.

Vaifanua’s seat in the House is currently occupied by Mauga Legae’e Palepoi Mauga.
