Four Months at TCF for Beating Girlfriend

A man is spending four months in jail for beating up his girlfriend.

Martin Sega faced third degree assault and public peace disturbance but pled guilty to assault and the ppd count was dropped.

The defendant said in court this morning he become really angry and slapped his girlfriend.

But police reports described much more.

Court filings say during the argument which happened at the home of the defendant’s parents, Sega slapped the victim, threw her to the ground and punched her face.

The defendant’s mother had to jump in stop the beating.

When the plea deal for Sega was presented in court this morning, District Court Judge Fiti Sunia asked the defendant to explain everything that happened.

The defendant admitted that the police report was true.

The judge asked if the victim wanted to say anything and she replied that she had nothing to say.

The court accepted the plea deal and sentenced the defendant to 120 days at TCF fined him $200.
