In the question and answer portion of the Chamber of Commerce forum for the gubernatorial teams, candidates were asked about how they will select their cabinet.
The questions which were from the floor and vetted by members of the Chamber of Commerce Board went like this.
“Directors play a critical role in the day to day operations of the government and make decision that affect the lives of the people, businesses and the general community.
“The public is dissatisfied with cabinet selections that are not based on qualifications and performance.
“How will you select your director and how will you ensure they are performing up to par?”
Candidate for Governor Faoa Aitofele Sunia gave this response.

Governor Lolo Moliga said they invited everyone who wanted to be a director to submit applications and then picked a group to review and recommend the top three candidates for each director position.

Candidate for governor Tuika Tuika reiterated that directors were not necessary.
