It was a frustrating and upsetting weekend for hundreds of ASG employees when direct deposits of their paychecks didn’t make it into their bank accounts.
Usually Bank of Hawaii customers receive their deposits at midnight Friday of the week preceeding pay week.
But up to noon Saturday some ASG employees still did not have their paychecks in their accounts.
Some employees who bank with BOH said their accounts were credited but many of their co workers, didn’t.
KHJ News sent emails to both Treasurer Ueligitone Tonumaipe’a and the governor’s special assistant Iulogologo Joseph Pereira but neither responded as of news time.
Later, Iulogologo said that he didn’t have any information on this subject but he knows there had been a three hour power outage at the EOB on Friday.
Some non ASG employees got calls from friends and relatives Saturday to borrow money for their gas or to buy food for their families.
