It was a very late and last minute decision to enter the Miss American Samoa Pageant but 19-year-old Antonina Lilomaiava has spent a lot of time thinking about how the opportunity could benefit not only herself but the community at large.

The Fagaitua High School graduate is currently pursing a degree in Liberal Arts with a minor in Business Accounting Management at the American Samoa Community College.

She’s sponsored by SABB Pago, which is a business that her family is involved in.

It‘s a reminder that our success comes from putting “God first in everything we do.”

Tomorrow evening the five contestants will be at the First Friday at the Fagatogo market, an idea coined by Miss Am Samoa Suluga Taliau the outing will be the public’s first opportunity to see the girls in person.
