There’s good news to report at the pump.
The whole sale price for unleaded gasoline drops 17 cents effective today, which means that retail prices will drop.
But don’t expect the reduction to be instant.,.our gas stations usually take a few days to ”get rid of the inventory they bought at the higher prices.”
The Maximum Allowable Price chart for fuel which is effective from today to September 14 also shows a ten cent drop per gallon for all other fuel products.
Road diesel is $2.38 cents a gallon, boiler generators drops to $2.06 cents and diesel fuel for fishing vessels is $1. 97 a gallon.
Ultra low sulfur is $2.42 for road diesel and $2.10 per gallon for the type that ASPA generators use.
Jet fuel drops to $2.12 a gallon and kerosene is down to $2.15 a gallon.
The ASG Office of Petroleum Management says with gasoline supplies high and oil prices low, the price you pay at the pump is likely to remain relatively cheap through the remainder of the summer and into the fall.
That is barring any unforeseen disaster.
