One of the open cases that officials of the Department of Labor will discuss with ASG, is overtime for police officers. Unpaid overtime for police continued from the previous administration and has been the subject of several Fono hearings and discussions at the cabinet level. But up to now police, firemen and corrections officers are far from satisfied with the response from DPS leadership and ASG. Officers have told KHJ News they have been informed that only Flag Day and other special enforcement which was pre approved for FY2015 and FY2016 will be paid, but the rest will not be honored.
