Governor Lolo Moliga told supporters attending the first general meeting of the Lolo and Lemanu camp that he was comforted to see that all of Tutuila and Manu’a was represented at their first gathering of supporters.

Lolo conceded one cannot remove the feeling of fear and trepidation but he was happy to see traditional leaders, the Fono leadership and members present.

The governor told the meeting that in his close to 50 years of service in ASG this is the first administration where there’s been shared leadership.

He said it’s the sons and daughters of the territory who have received an education and have the necessary knowledge and skills who are solving problems and making the government better. L&L 1st meeting governor

While saying he doesn’t want to appear to find fault Lolo said when the government of Faoa left office, the cost of electricity was 40 cents per kilowatt hour.

Now with Utu Abe Malae heading ASPA the cost of electricity has been reduced.

The governor  also praised Mauputasi Mauga Tasi Asuega  as a leader who despite his status in the traditional hierarchy, has worked with young people to clean up the island.

He said Mauga is the first traditional leader he’s seen walk with and direct the youth in clean up efforts.

Lolo commented these are the qualities of a leader that can make things better for the people.
