Local resident Togia Aumoeualogo will appear in the federal district court of Honolulu tomorrow morning pm charges of interfering with a flight crew, a federal offence.
The 35-year-old was one of the passengers on Hawaiian Airline’s Flight 466 from Pago Pago to Honolulu last night.
The FBI says he is accused of being belligerent on the flight and bit a flight attendant and threatening the flight crew.
FBI supervisory agent Matt McDonald said FBI agents and Hawaii Sheriff deputies were at the airport with handcuffs when Aumoeualogo stepped off the plane.
Interfering with a flight crews carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.
