Governor & First Lady to Attend Samoa Independence

Governor Lolo Moliga departs Sunday to attend Samoa’s 54th anniversary of independence celebration.
The governor will be accompanied by First Lady Cynthia Moliga who’s expected to return home from the 12th Festival of Pacific Arts in Guam on Friday.

Executive Assistant to Governor Lolo, Iulogologo Joseph Pereira said the governor, First Lady and security will be in Apia until June 2, Samoa time.

The Independence celebration starts Tuesday, Samoa time with a prayer service and the festivities will be for one day only, June 1st.

Leone village ,will also be in Apia for the celebration, on an invitation from Samoa Prime Minister Tuilapea Sailele.

The group, numbering about 300, will be hosted by the village of Lepea.

Some members will be taking the Lady Naomi over while the rest will travel on Polynesian Airlines.
