Chief Justice Michael Kruse has ordered the government to have someone ready today to prosecute the case of Chief Immigration Officer, Tamasa Dennis Lutu.
The Chief Immigration Officer who was found in contempt of court for testimony that the court deemed untruthful appeared in High Court Friday with his wife and senior immigration employees who were there to support him.
Assistant Attorney General Tyler Genzal informed the court that in the absence of Deputy Attorney General Mitzie Jessop Taase, who was off-island, he’d just caught up with the case an hour before.
Chief Justice Kruse flanked by Associate Judges Fa’amausili Pomele and Muasau Tofili instructed the Assistant Attorney General to have someone ready to take on the case today as he will not continue this matter again.
