Tom Scanlan, Junior Hall, Bill Legally and other legendary musicians from American Samoa who now reside in the US west xoast.

And that’s the live band sound which will be heard at Taalolo Lodge tomorrow in celebration of international Jazz Day and to raise funds to help host this  year’s Samoana Jazz and Arts Festival in November.

American Samoa and Samoa are among the 200 countries which are celebrating the United Nations International Jazz Day.

President Obama himself will be hosting a jazz session at the White House to commemorate the event.

The Samoana Jazz Festival Board, chaired by Fagafaga Daniel Langkilde, with the creator of the Festival, Peta Siulepa, is hosting a night of Jazz with the theme “Fly me to the Moon.”

Board member Vaitoa Hans Langkilde, who is in charge of the show, says the crooners and musicians will be a mix of the veterans and up and coming stars.
