StarKist Co. today confirmed that Andrew Choe, President & CEO at StarKist Co., will visit American Samoa the week of March 28th.
Choe will spend time with employees at the StarKist Samoa plant, and also plans to meet with a number of government and business leaders.
“It is always an honor to be in American Samoa,” said Choe.
“I am looking forward to a productive time with our StarKist Samoa leadership team and employees and appreciate the opportunity to show our gratitude to local leaders, both in government and business, for their ongoing support.”
In addition to Choe’s work with StarKist Samoa, the visit is also an opportunity to discuss critical issues that are impacting StarKist’s business in American Samoa.
A statement from StarKist says there are many issues working against American Samoa, but StarKist remains committed to working with Governor Lolo Moliga, Congresswoman Aumua Amata Radewagen, Fono leaders: Senate President Gaoteote Tofau and Speaker Savali Ale, and the people of American Samoa to ensure a globally competitive and viable economic environment for conducting business in the territory.
Choe will be joined by Cary Gann, Director of Seafood Procurement, Andy Mecs, Director of Marketing, Mike Schenk, Senior Manager Engineering, Michelle Faist, Senior Manager, Corporate Affairs, and Linda Gilbert, Senior Manager, Human Resources.
