Tahiti is looking to American Samoa for support and technical know how to help achieve their goal of adding football to the sports roster for the 2023 Pacific Games.
Tahiti is hoping to outbid the Solomon Islands to host those games.
Here to drum up support for Tahiti’s bid and also to add football to the list of sports for 2023 Pacific Games is the French territory’s National Olympic Committee Chef de mission Johann Hironui Bouit.
A television journalist and owner of a production company in Papeete, Bouit is upbeat about the support and interest from American Samoa.

Johann says sports for which Tahiti can provide technical assistance to American Samoa include canoeing, boxing, athletics, tennis and sailing.
