Lolo Governor Moliga departs the territory tonight for meetings in Hawaii and Washington D.C.

The governor will be attending the meeting of the National Governors Association as well as the annual meeting of the Inter Agency Group on Insular Areas (IGIA), both to be held in the nation’s capital.

This would be the sixth meeting of the IGIA since President Obama re-established the group in 2010 with the White House and Secretary of the Interior, Sally Jewell as co-chairs.

The IGIA was first set up during the presidency of Bill Clinton to bring together insular areas and federal agencies, as well as the representatives of the territories in Congress to discuss needs of the insular areas and federal agency solutions.

The group also advises the president on federal policies that advance insular area issues.

A complete list of directors who will be joining the governor in D.C and would be leaving tonight, Friday and Monday, has been promised by the Chief Of Staff Fiu Johnny Saelua who is also in the malaga.

The governor, who will be accompanied by First Lady Cynthia Malala Moliga and two security guards, will also have medical follow ups in Honolulu.
