The Land Grant offices at the American Samoa Community College were broken into over the weekend.

The EFNAP or Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) Office was ransacked and food that was in the refrigerator was taken.

In addition some of the ingredients used for cooking demonstrations were splattered in the room while other offices had paper strewn on the floor.

The culprit or culprits seem to have broken in through the offices with wooden doors and this occurred somewhere between Friday night and early Saturday morning.

ASCC has 24-hour security.

While KHJ News was at the scene Saturday afternoon, staff were cleaning up and trying to take stock if any valuable equipment including expensive tools were stolen.

efnepDirector Taapaau Dan Aga said it appears that all that was taken was food but they are taking a complete inventory of the buildings which were broken into, to ascertain If anything else was stolen.

He said it appears all of the computers were accounted for and the network was working fine. Same with their inventory of agricultural tools.

Police officers were at Land Grant Saturday interviewing staff and collecting evidence.
