A man caught driving while his license was suspended for a prior driving under the influence conviction will be sentenced March 4.
Vaatausili Tofaeono pled guilty to felony driving in a plea agreement with the government and the other charges against him, driving under the influence and careless driving were dismissed.
The 38-year-old defendant admitted that on November 8, 2015, he operated a vehicle while his license was suspended for a DUI conviction in 2012.
According to the government, Tofaeono was also intoxicated when police pulled him over last November.
The Chief justice ordered the defendant not to touch a vehicle pending his sentencing on March 4.
Felony driving carries a mandatory sentence of six months in jail.
