“On behalf of the Territory and people of American Samoa, I extend to you, the family of the late Governor Inos, and to the people of the commonwealth our deepest condolences and sympathy over the passing of a great Pacific leader.

“We pray that the peace of the Lord eases the grief being experienced by your government and people.

“I wish you the best as you assume the role of governor. May God bless you and new Lieutenant Governor Hocog with the gift of wisdom He bequeathed to King Solomon as you endeavor to improve the quality of life of all the people of the Commonwealth of the Northern Marians Islands.”
